Merchants Win Only ICL Game on Thursday

Anthony Cecere had two hits, including a double, and four RBI’s, to lead the Wakefield Merchants to a 9-1 road win over the Americans in Melrose. Mike Andrews (1-1) went the distance for the Merchants to gain the win. Jon Luders, Scott Searles, Ryan Collins and Tyler Lyne all had two hits each to pace Wakefield’s 13 hit offense. Jackson Stanton went three for three and Kyle Cortese had a solo homer for the Americans.

The Malden Maddogs host the Somerville Royals at Maplewood on Friday night at 7:45 PM in the only game on the ICL schedule.
