Blue Sox walk off win over Alibrandis

Lexington – Gage Gaunt doubled to center to score Jose Feliciano from first and deliver a 5-4 walk off win for Lexington over Alibrandis in ICL action Sunday night.
Down 4-3, Joe Cacciatore started off the seventh reaching on an error. Alibrandis hurler Paul Frisoli tried to pickoff Cacciatore and threw the ball away allowing Cacciatore to go to third. After an out, Feliciano laid down a bunt on the first base side that Frisoli could not field cleanly allowing Cacciatore to score the tying run and Feliciano to reach safely. Thus setting up Gaunt for his game-winning heroics.
Alibrandis had taken a 3-0 lead after scoring a run in each of the first three innings.
Teddy Dzuiba scored in the first and third innings on RBI singles by David Lightbody and Steve Rizzuto. Juan Parra singled to drive in Joe Boushell in the second.
The Blue Sox cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the third. Brendan Jones and Cacciatore began the inning with singles. Manny Delcarmen sacrificed to move both runners up. Feliciano singled to drive in Jones. Cacciatore scored on a wild pitch.
Charlie Auditore started the sixth for Alibrandis reaching second on an error. He scored on Boushell’s RBI single for a 4-2 lead. Lexington came right back in the bottom of the inning to make it 4-3. Alex Voitik and Alex Krylov had back-to-back doubles with Krylov getting the RBI.
Robbie Cobb pitched 3.1 innings in relief for Lexington. He retired the first seven Alibrandis batters he faced, two on strike outs. He gave up an unearned run in there sixth, but his effort allowed Lexington to stay in the game.
Paul Frisoli, 3-3, started and went the distance for Alibrandis. He started strong setting down the first six Lexington batters. He scattered nine hits, walked none and struck out five.
Borja Jones-Berasaluce, 1-0, picked up the win pitching a scoreless seventh with a strikeout.
