Beck, Chaisson lead Reds to 3-1 Win in Sunday’s Only Game

Nate Beck fired a two-hitter, and Dan Chaisson hit his league leading fourth home run of the year, to lead the Watertown Reds to a 3-1 win over the Reading Bulldogs on Sunday at Victory Field. Will Brennan and Mike Samko added two each for the Reds. Beck (2-0), struck out eight and walked three. Wayne Lundgren (3-3) allowed just six hits and struck out seven, but took the loss.

All other ICL games were postponed by rain on Sunday.

On Monday, the Bulldogs and Somerville Royals will resume their game that was suspended last week. The game will be re-started at Lexington High at 8:00 PM. The Bulldogs are batting in the top of the second inning with the Royals leading 3-1.

Also on Monday, the Andre Chiefs host the Reds at Maplewood Park in Malden starting at 8:15 PM.
