Horan Throws No-Hitter for Reds, Game Suspended in 7th Inning in Lexington

Matt Horan threw  a no-hitter when the Reds edged the Arlington Trojans 1-0 in Watertwon. Horan was perfect through 5 and 2/3’s and gave up just one walk on the night. It was the Reds fist no-hitter since Scott Lueders no-hit the Mooney Dental Tanners on June 9th, 2014.
The game was completed in just one hour and 25 minutes. Kyle Lavigne had all three of Watertown’s hits and scored on a groundout by Will Brennan in the first inning. Horan raised his record to 3-0 on the season.

Due to issues with the water sprinkler system in Lexington, Thursday’s Andre Chiefs at Lexington Blue Sox game was suspended.

The game was stopped in the bottom of the seventh inning with the Chiefs leading 4-2. The Chiefs scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take the 4-2 lead.

At the time the game was suspended, Thomas Russo was batting with a 1-2 count, 0 outs, and nobody on base. The game will be resumed at that point at a date to be announced.
