Chiefs Win, Alibrandis-Wakefield Suspended in 2nd, Game at Trum PPD

Newcomer R.J. Libby turned in a four hit and three RBI performance in his ICL debut, and Andrew Caulfield and Matt Nuzzo hit back to back fourth inning homers, when the Andre Chiefs held off the Malden Maddogs 11-8 on Tuesday night at Maplewood. Tim Dunphy (3-0) picked up the win for the Chiefs while David Kerns recorded his fourth save. Derek Bauer hit a two run homer for the Maddogs.

The Wakefield Merchants-Alibrandis game at Victory Field was suspended in the top of the second inning due to rain while the Melrose Americans-Somerville Royals game at Trum Field was postponed.

On Wednesday the Reading Bulldogs travel to Wakefield to meet the Merchants at 6:00 PM and Alibrandis hosts the Royals at Victory at 7:45 PM.
