Rosati (Americans), Dama (Reds) & Clegg (Chiefs) Pitch Respective Clubs to Wins

June 23, 2016/in News and Notes/by iclbaseball

Christian Rosati (1-1) fired a neat four-hitter, striking out eight, when the Melrose Americans scored single runs in the third and fourth innings to come from behind and nip the Arlington Trojans 2-1 at Morelli Field on Wednesday night. Harrison Engstrom had a single and a solo homer and Mike Addesa added two hits for the Americans. Richie Cardillo (0-1) pitched well for the Trojans despite taking the loss.

Aric Dama (3-0) threw six shutout innings, allowing just four hits, when the Watertown Reds blanked the Somerville Royals 5-0 at Victory Field. Mike Samko led the Reds’ seven hit offense with two hits and an RBI. Jake Cintolo had two of the Royals’ four hits in the game.

At Maplewood, the Chiefs erased a 2-0 lead and went on to beat the Blue Sox 6-3. Jordan Pallazolla hit his second homer of the year and Danny DiMare had a triple for the Chiefs. Dorian Rojas put Lexington in the lead with a solo homer in the second. Mitchell Clegg (2-0) went 6.2 innings to record the win and Anthony Sullivan picked up the save. Aidan Freeberg (2-1) took the loss.
