Chiefs Hold on to Beat Royals 8-6 at Trum

The Chiefs opened up a 6-0 fourth inning lead and then held on to beat the Royals 8-6 in Somerville on Tuesday night. Mike Andre had a double, single, and three RBI’s, Matt Nuzzo hit a solo homer, and Peter Copa had two hits and scored three times to lead the Chiefs offense. Jared Freni (4-2) went 5.1 innings and struck out 11 to get the win with help from Mitchell Clegg (1.2 innings, 3 K’s) who recorded the save. Jake Cintolo went 3-3 and Wagner Gomez had a two RBI triple for the Royals.

It was the only ICL game scheduled.
