Alibrandis, Royals & Maddogs Get Tuesday Wins
Alibrandis got three hits each from Mike Maguire and Ted Dziuba to beat the Lexington Blue Sox 7-5 in a curfew shortened game at Victory Field. Justin Butera (1-0) got the win in relief of Chris Costa and Nate Beck. The game was in the 7th inning when the lights curfew ended things.
At Trum, Paul Covelle (3-2) struck out 11, and allowed just four hits, when the Somerville Royals beat the Andre Chiefs 6-1. Jonathan Rodriguez broke a scoreless tie and gave the Royals the lead in the bottom of the fourth with a two RBI double.
In Melrose, the Malden Maddogs got homers from Shane O’Halloran and Ethan Harris to grab an 8-1 win over the Americans. Blaine McLean (1-4) went five innings to get the win.
