Americans & Reds Both Post Comeback Wins on Wednesday

Dillon Corliss tossed six innings of four-hit ball to record the win, and Zack Kirby struck out the side in the seventh to chalk up the save, when the Americans came from behind to beat the Chiefs 4-1 on Wednesday in Melrose. Austin Masel put the Americans in front 2-1 in the fifth with a two RBI single. Tom Petry padded the Melrose lead with an RBI single in the sixth. Mike Burgoyne gave the Chiefs a 1-0 lead with a solo homer in the third. Mitchell Clegg (2-1) took the loss.

In Watertown, the Reds rallied from a 2-0 third inning deficit to overtake the Arlington Trojans 8-5 at Victory Field. More on this game will be posted shortly.
