Burke Gets 3rd Win for Reading Bulldogs
In Thursday’s lone game, Jack Burke became the first ICL pitcher in 2016 to get his third win when the Reading Bulldogs knocked off the Arlington Trojans 7-1 at Endicott College in Beverly. Burke, who raised his record to a perfect 3-0, went six innings, struck out nine, and allowed six hits. Johnny Hayes had a couple of RBI and Zac Talis had two hits and an RBI to lead the Bulldogs, who jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and never looked back.
There are two games on Friday’s agenda. The Chiefs travel to Summer Street Field in Arlington to visit the Trojans at 7:00 PM and the Bulldogs are right back at Endicott for an 8:00 PM date with the Wakefield Merchants.
