In 2024, the team known as the Sabertooth Expos reverted to its original name, the Middlesex Expos, reflecting a return to its roots in the Massachusetts amateur baseball scene. This change followed a brief period of expansion where they collaborated with another team, but ultimately, the Middlesex Expos chose to continue independently in their pursuit of baseball excellence. The Expos, initially founded by Branden Anderson and once known as the East Boston Knights in the Yawkey Baseball League, have a rich history of success. Following a standout season in the Intercity League (ICL) which was cut short due to Covid-19 concerns, they claimed a league championship in the Yawkey League in 2020 with an impeccable regular season record of 14-0, losing only two games throughout the year.

The Expos, renowned for their competitive spirit and skillful play, have consistently demonstrated their prowess on the field, underscored by the contributions of core veterans Jose Paulino (SS) and Michael Oliveira (2B). These players, integral to the team’s structure and success, have been with the franchise for several years, contributing significantly to the Expos’ achievements. As they continue their journey in the ICL, the highest level of amateur baseball in Massachusetts, the Middlesex Expos are set to further solidify their status as one of the premier teams in the region, building on their tradition of excellence and competitive spirit.
