Americans Beat Mass Envelope/GM in Lone Friday Game. 3-1

Brian Capodilupo (1-0) struck out seven in five innings and allowed just two hits to lead the Melrose Americans to a 3-1 victory over Mass Envelope/GM at Fallon Field in Roslindale in the only game played on Friday night. Tad Giardina and Tyler Normandie had RBI’s for Melrose in the win. Will Trach worked the final two frames to pick up his first save of the year.

Wednesday’s ICL-BPL Roundup

Tad Giardina and Nate Galanis (HR) drove in two runs each when the Americans scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally back and take an 11-9 win over the Boston Padres in Melrose….The Andre Chiefs got two hits each from Joe Bova, Byron Woodman, P.J. Browe, Nick Valdario, and Roberts Galvis on the way to a 4-2 win over the Boston Blue Jays at Maplewood. Mike McCarthy (2-0) struck out seven in five innings to pick up the win……The Brighton Black Sox came back from a 6-3 deficit to walk off with a 7-6 win over the Middlesex Expos at Cleveland Circle……The Palmer Club took a 3-2 nine inning win over the Lexington Blue Sox at Fallon Field. AJ Lysko went 3-3 for the Sox while Michael O’Brien worked the first eight innings and struck out nine….

Tuesday’s ICL-BPL Roundup

Brady Gillis (1-1) tossed a five hitter and Jack Keyo had a couple of RBI’s when the Stoneham Sabers beat ADSL 5-2 in Lexington. Rob Carrillo (3-0) picked up his third straight win in the Malden Maddogs’ 8-2 win over Mass Envelope/GM at Maplewood. Braeden O’Connell had three hits and three RBI’s for Malden. The Lexington Blue Sox got four strong innings from Brady Andrews (1-0) to turn back the Boston Blue Jays 3-1 at Town Field. Logan Our drove in two of the Blue Sox runs and Ryan Grundy had a solo homer. Andrews struck out nine. Daniel Ferris (4 RBI’s, HR) and Chris Klein (3 RBI’s, HR) led the Melrose Americans to a 13-4 win over the Brighton Braves at Cleveland Circle. Tyler Nelson (2-1) struck out eight in five innings to record the win. Pat Costigan added a solo homer for Melrose. In the final game of the evening Triple D’s/TJO’s shutout the Lexington Bulldogs 7-0 at Fallon Field in Roslindale,

ICL Sweeps Five Crossover Games vs BPL on Monday

The ICL won all five crossover games that were played on Monday night. In Lexington, the Stineham Sabers handed Triple D’s/TJO’s their first loss of the season 4-1. Kyle Ksander spun a gem, throwing six strong innings, allowing just one hit while striking out seven. Brett Beddington closed the door in the 7th inning to earn the save. Jack Keyo had an RBI single in the 2nd inning and Matt Shea drove in a run in the third. Angelo Colucci reached base in all three plate appearances and scored a run. Chris Dion went to 3-0 on the season when the Andre Chiefs beat the Brighton Braves 9-2 at Maplewood. Byron Woodwan went 2-4 with a homer and two RBI’s and Roberts Galvis had three hits for the Chiefs. Mikey Bronson (1-1) got the win and Hector Roman Jr. and Danny Crossman both homered when the Malden Maddogs knocked off the Palmer Club 12-6 at Fallon Field. Chase Carder (1-1) went five innings to pick up his first win of the year and Emilio Berndt had four hits and three RBI in the Lexington Bulldogs’ 13-3 win over the Boston Padres at Cleveland Circle. The Middlesex Expos completed the ICL’s Monday sweep with a 19-0 shutout of ADSL at Town Field.
