Thursday’s Recap
Dylan Walsh and Mitch McCabe had RBI’s and Yemer Pineda (2-1) got the win when the Lexington Blue Sox beat the E.I. Braves 3-1 on Thursday at Cleveland Circle. Luke Descheneaux picked up the two out save with the Braves threatening in the bottom of the seventh. Veteran southpaw Evan Walsh (1-0) went 4.1 innings to get the victory in the Andre Chiefs’ 7-1 win over TJO Sports at Fallon Field in Roslindale. Miles Reid and Nolan Lopes has three hits each for the Chiefs. In other games, the East Boston Knights beat the Lexington Bulldogs 15-3, the Palmer Club knocked off the Malden Maddogs 11-6, and the Al Thomas A’s defeated the Stoneham Sabers 9-3.
Wednesday’s Results
Ted Giardina’s fifth inning grand slam propelled the Melrose Americans to a 6-4 win over the Boston Patk League’s TJO Sports at Morelli Field on Wednesday night. Nick Colucci (1-2) went five innings to get the win while Mike Nestor picked up the two inning save. Ryan Bourgeois added a solo homer for the Americans. Miles Reid homered and had six RBI’s to lead the Andre Chiefs to a 20-5 win over the McKay Club at Maplewood. Jaun Parra (3-3, double) and Nate Witkowski (2-3, double) added three RBI’s each. Nick Valdario went 3-3 and Joe Bova also homered for the Chiefs. A.J. Rourke (2-1) got the win. Mitch McCabe drove in five runs, that included a second inning grand slam, to pace the Blue Sox to a 9-0 shutout of the Boston Padres in Lexington. Chris Wanat (3-1), in relief of Dan Metzdorf, gave up just one hit in four innings to chalk up the win, In other ganes, the Brighton Braves beat the Stoneham Sabers 6-2 at Rogers Park and the East Bsoton Knights erased a 2-0 third inning deficit to come from behind and get a 7-3 win over the Middlesex Expos at EB Stadium.
Tuesday’s ICL Results
Four Lexington Blue Sos pitchers (Mike O’Brien, Mark Herlihy, Cole Donato (1-0) & Jake Zawatsky) combined on a two-hitter in a 6-2 win over the Stoneham Sabers at Maplewood. Mitch McCabe had a double and triple to lead the Lexington offense. In other games, the Middlesex Expos scored five times in the bottom of the first inning on the way to a 7-3 win over the Boston Athletics at East Boston Stadium, the Brighton Black Sox beat the Melrose Americans 6-4 at Brandeis, and the Palmer Club scored 13 runs in the fourth inning and took a 16-1 win over the Lexington Bulldogs at Fallon Field.
Monday’s ICL Roundup
Matt Draper (5-0) won his fifth straight decision, and lefty Ryan O’Rourke struck out eight batters in three innings to record the save, when the Blue Sox beat the Brighton Braves 3-1 in Lexington. Paul Frisoli (1-0), in relief of starter Silas Reed, got his first win of the year and A.J. Rourke struck out the side in the seventh to get the save when the Andre Chiefs beat the Melrose Americans 6-3 at Maplewood. Tyler Ferdinand and Joe Bova each had a couple of hits for the Chiefs while John Jennings had two hits for Melrose. Ryan Rametta (1-1) scattered five hits over six innings to pitch the Malden Maddogs to a 4-2 win over the E.I. Braves at Cleveland Circle. Eric Ramirez led the Malden offense with two doubles, a stolen base, and three RBI’s. ADSL broke a 2-2 tie, scoring a couple of runs in both the top of the sixth and seventh innings, to pull away from the Middlesex Expos 6-2 at East Boston Stadium.
