Four Expos’ Hurlers 3-Hit Bulldogs 8-1
The front running Sabertooth Expos stayed hot, winning their tenth game in eleven starts, when they beat the Lexington Bulldogs 8-1 on Friday night at Lexington High.
The Expos used four pitchers to limit the Bulldogs to just three hits. Ethan Collins (2 innings), Hadniel Payamps (1 inning), and Bladamir Ramirez and Ryan Cloutier with two innings each, combined to strike out 13 batters. Payamps (1-0), who worked the third inning, picked up the win.
Matt Consigli had two hits and a couple RBI’s and Cloutier scored three runs and added two hits and an RBI to lead the Expos offense.
There are no ICL games scheduled on Saturday. Play resumes on Sunday when the Lexington Blue Sox visit the Melrose Americans at Morelli Field starting at 4:00 PM.
