Information for Prospective Intercity League Players

The Intercity League currently consists of nine franchises in the Greater Boston area with each team playing a 28+ game regular season schedule. Weekend tournaments, such as the annual Jerie DeAngelis Tournament of Champions, hosted by the Lexington Blue Sox, and some non-league games increase the number games in the schedule for most teams. The ICL regular season slate begins each year in June. Playoff series begin in early August and usually conclude no later than August 21.

ICL franchises are located in Lexington (Lexington Blue Sox), Medford (Andre Chiefs) Melrose (Melrose Americans), Wakefield (Wakefield Merchants), Watertown (Watertown Reds), Reading, (Reading Bulldogs), Somerville (Somerville Royals- New franchise in 2016), Malden (Malden Maddogs – New franchise in 2017) and The Alibrandi Baseball Club – new franchise in 2017.
