Kevin Rodriguez and Jose Paulino both homered and Dan Shaw (3-2) picked up the win when the Middlesex Expos beat the Andre Chiefs 5-3 in a lights shortened five inning affair at East Boston Stadium…..The Stoneham Sabers used five pitchers to turn back the Malden Maddogs 10-8 at Minuteman Vocational. Jack Raimo (2-1) got the win while Drew Mello earned the four out save. Austin Brune drove in three runs, Danny Choate and Greg Reed had two RBI’s each, and Jack Keyo had three hits for the Sabers……

Bamfort, Klein Lead Americans to 2-1 Win, Chiefs Beat Blue Sox 7-4

Nick Bamforth (3-0-1) struck out 14 batters and came within one out of a no-hitter when the Melrose Anericans beat the Lexington Bulldogs 2-1 at Morelli. Chris Klein provided the walk-off game winner with a one out solo homer in the bottom of the seventh…..The Andre Chiefs scored five unanswered runs to beat the Blue Sox 7-4 in Lexington. Bryon Woodman had a two RBI single and Rowan Oostman had three hits for the Chiefs. A,J. Rourke (1-0) got the win…..

Nick Bamforth (5 innings) and Brian Capodilupo (2 innings) combined on a five-hitter when the Melrose Americans blanked the Malden Maddogs 6-0 at Morelli Field on Wednesday night. Brady Gillis fired a two-hitter when the Stoneham Sabers edged Mass Envelope/GM 1-0 at Catholic Memorial. Nelson Correa drove in the game winner with a third inning single. Gillis raised his season mark to 2-1 and struck out seven…….Matt Draper upped his record to 4-0 when the Blue Sox beat the Andre Chiefs 9-7 in Lexington. Julian Alvarez (double) and Nick Anderson (homer) each had three RBI’s for the Sox. Byron Woodman knocked in three runs for the Chiefs. Draper struck out nine……
