American’s Stay Hot, Chiefs, Bulldogs and Expos Win in Wednesday’s ICL Sweep

Nick Giangregorio’s lead off seventh inning homer gave the first place Melrose Americans a 6-5 walk off win over the Brighton Braves at Morelli Field. It was the sixth straight win for the Americans. Jack Simpson (2-0) got the win with 2.2 innings of one run relief…..The Andre Chiefs got a complete game four-hitter from A.J. Rourke to beat the Boston Padres 5-1 at Maplewood. Joe Bova went 4-4 for the Chiefs…..Emilio Berntwent banged out three doubles and drove in a couple of runs to lead the Lexington Bulldogs to a 14-2 win over the Palmer Club at Fallon Field. Brett Stone added three hits, including a triple and three RBI’s, while Will Cacciatore (1-1) went four innings to grab the win…..The Middlesex Expos scored 17 runs and rung out 16 hits on the way to a 17-1 win over the Al Thomas A’s at Roberts Playground ib Dorchester…….
