Blue Sox Edge Bulldogs 2-1, Americans Get 7th Straight in 9-4 Win Over Chiefs

Luke Hall and Will Potdevin had first inning RBI’s when the Lexington Blue Sox edged the Reading Bulldogs in a game that was switched to Austin Prep on Monday night. Robbie Cobb (1-2) got the win in relief of starter Matt Karis while Manny Delcarmen recorded his second save of the season. The game ended on an unassisted double play by first baseman Josue Feliciano with the tying run on third. Gabe Van Emon (2-2) took the loss.

At Maplewood, the Americans stayed hot and won their seventh in a row with a 9-4 win over the Andre Chiefs. Mike Sorrentino went 3-4 with three RBI’s and Josh Bosh had a double, single, and scored two runs to lead the Americans at the plate. Chris Mitchell (2-2) went four innings to gain the win. Andrew Caulfield homered for the Chiefs while Evan Walsh (0-3) got the loss.

On Tuesday, the Blue Sox and Bulldogs do it again at Austin Prep at 6:45 PM, Alibrandis hosts the Malden Maddogs at Victory Field in Watertown at 7:30 PM, and the Middlesex Expos meet the Chiefs at Trum Field in Somerville at 8:30 PM.
