Chiefs Beat Expos 7-2, Rain Washes Out Other Games
The Andre Chiefs beat the Sabertooth Expos 7-2 at Maplewood in the only ICL game that was able to be played on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs-Americans game at Morelli Field and the Maddogs-Blue Sox game in Lexington were both rained out.
The Chiefs-Expos game began after an hour rain delay.
Andrew Caulfield led the Chiefs to the win with two hits, including a double, and had three RBI’s. Leadoff man Juan Parra reached base four consecutive times, on three hits and a walk and scored three runs and Miles Reid had two hits and scored twice for the winners.
Jonathan Chotkowski (1-0), the second of five pitchers the Chiefs used in the game, picked up the win.
On Thursday the Chiefs will visit the Blue Sox in Lexington and the Maddogs and Expos meet at Maplewood. Both games will begin at 8:00 PM.
